Throughout 2011 the Stevie Awards will support Camfed (www.camfed.org). Since 1993, Camfed, the Campaign for Female Education, has fought poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa by educating girls and empowering women to become leaders of change. The Stevie Awards will support Camfed with a financial contribution from ticket sales for each of our four Stevie Awards events this year, as well as with advertising on our web sites and email newsletter, and editorial content in our Stevie Awards Update e-newsletter.
We chose to support Camfed because as an international organization, the Stevie Awards should support causes that are important to all the world's people, and we can agree that the wellbeing and empowerment of women worldwide is beneficial to all of us - for different reasons, perhaps, but important nonetheless.
We hope you will join us in learning about and supporting Camfed this year.
