Paul J. Gennaro is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, and the Chief Communications Officer for AECOM Technology Corp. (NYSE: ACM), a $6.1-billion global provider of professional technical- and management-support services with approximately 45,000 employees.
In this role, Gennaro leads all aspects of AECOM's global corporate communications efforts, including: investor relations, corporate brand and reputation management, public and media relations, internal communications, crisis and issues management, philanthropy and community relations, and government relations. He is also a member of AECOM's Executive Board. Gennaro joined AECOM in March of 2006 and has led corporate communications in support of dramatic growth that has included the doubling of the workforce, the tripling of revenue, and the execution of more than 20 acquisitions. He has also developed and executed communications strategies in support of the company's award-winning initial public offering (IPO) in 2007 and its global rebrand in 2009. Gennaro’s AECOM communications team has won several awards, including being named one of the top two Investor/Financial Communications Campaigns of the Year in 2007 by PRWeek magazine; a 2008 award for innovative advertising from the International Academy of Visual Arts; the 2008 International Business Award for Best Investor Relations Program; finalist recognition by PRWeek magazine for one of the top employee communications campaigns of the year for 2008; and the Stevie Awards for Best Communications Department in the 2008 and 2009 American Business Awards. Prior to joining AECOM, Gennaro managed all global corporate and marketing communications for Johns Manville, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. He has also held communications leadership roles for global brands such as Ingersoll-Rand Company, Ltd., Dell Computer Corp., and American Express Company. He began his career as a print/broadcast journalist and public affairs officer for the U.S. Navy.
