Sanford C. Brown, Heartland Payment Systems, Inc.

Sanford C. Brown has been with Heartland Payment Systems since its inception in 1997, serving in almost every sales-management role, and moving from street-level sales to Chief Sales Officer in ten short years. His current responsibilities include all efforts related to sales, particularly in support of Heartland’s national 1,700-member sales and service force.

Sanford was Heartland’s first sales employee west of the Mississippi.  In 2003, he was named Heartland’s Senior Vice President of Sales Management responsible for sales infrastructure, sales policy, and formulating business development strategies. In early 2006, he was promoted to Chief Sales Officer. That same year, he was awarded the Stevie Award for National VP of Sales at the inaugural 2006 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.

Prior to becoming Chief Sales Officer, Sanford performed various sales management roles in territorial, divisional, regional, and vice presidential capacities, before expanding his experiences into marketing.  From late 2000 to 2003, Sanford served as Heartland’s Senior Vice President of Hospitality Marketing, charged with developing and nurturing relationships with over 100 trade associations nationally.

Mr. Brown attended Northern Arizona University where he studied marketing. He resides in Belle Mead, New Jersey.
