NightHawk Radiology Services is a Limited Liability Company and is managed by the President and CEO, Dr. Paul Berger, with Vice Presidents Chris Huber and Jon Berger, with a combined experience of over 35 years in radiology and teleradiology services. Ten years ago, Dr. Berger initiated the first night-time reading service. It was his operations manager who coined the phrase “nighthawk radiology” from his experience in piloting Nighthawk helicopters in Vietnam.
The firm's mission is to deliver improved quality of healthcare service through telemedicine. They are able to improve healthcare by giving patients quality interpretations by our American Board Certified doctors located in Sydney, Australia. The doctors have been relocated to Australia to take advantage of the time difference. Their doctors are able to work during the day to cover the night in the U.S. By doing so, the U.S. doctors are more alert during the day which enables them to perform better. The interpretations are also reviewed by two other people to ensure that the correct results are relayed to the patient.
