The Company: PRISM Group, Inc. is a 28 person company headquartered in Albuquerque, NM. After September 11, airlines faced enormous financial problems - combined 2002 losses of U.S. airlines were $9 billion dollars. The greatest catastrophe was the loss of the important business traveler. To resolve this problem, United, Northwest, Delta Airlines and KLM turned to PRISM's SalesServer system in 2002. Four of the six largest American headquartered airlines now use PRISM to manage their contracted sales relationships.
SalesServer is an integrated contract management system for sales and contracting at airlines. Components include data, contracting, CRM and decision support. In selecting PRISM, one airline President said it was "the first good news since 9/11" - the foundation for that airline's financial recovery. In recognition of PRISM's work, PRISM received the ATTIS (Airline Travel Technology Information Systems) award as "Best Airline Newcomer Award" April 2002 in Amsterdam. For several airlines, SalesServer was the only new initiative begun in 2002. Learn more about PRISM at http://www.prism-grp.com/.
On Why They Have Entered The American Business Awards: "The story of how major airlines are working toward profitability because of the consequences of Sept 11th, is an important story. PRISM was an essential component for major airlines in 2002," said Dr. Michael Whitesage, PRISM President.
"Winning a Stevie would be a special honor for PRISM and recognize the work of PRISM to get airlines back to being successful and viable business entities. Until the Stevie Awards, there has not been a way for companies to be independently evaluated or honored by independent experts. We are pleased and look forward to being evaluated," said Dr. Whitesage.
